10-ounce in-line screw-type plastics injection moulding machine, the first locally-designed and manufactured, was launched and granted the"New Product Award" by The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong.

A 30,000 sq.ft. factory was building in Fanling, H.K.

1980

Established Chen Hsong Machinery Taiwan Co., Ltd.
(Member of the Chen Hsong Group)

1981

Completion of 170,000 sq.ft. factory at Tai Po Industrial Estate.

1981

Streamlined production line: track conveyance, categorized workstation for space reduction was implemented. All products were exported to Southeast Asia.

1983

PLB-48R PLC was adopted. Taichung, Changhua, Kaohsiung and Hsinchu offices and services were founded subsequently.

1986

Automatic mold changing system developed to work without operator assistance, which was exhibited at the K 1986 International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber, Duesseldorf, Germany.

1987

Chen De Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd.(Member of the Chen Hsong Group)was established in Shunde, PRC.

1987

After intensive research and development, the hydro-mechanical clamping SM-650 model was successfully introduced. This serves as a trend change for Chen Hsong towards the development of future large models.

1990

Dr. Chiang Chen was awarded Doctor of Engineering, honoris causa of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

1990

Established the first Hong Kong ductile iron casting factory.

Dr. Chiang Chen donated his shareholdings in Chen Hsong Holdings Ltd. to establish "Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation."

Chen Hsong Holdings Ltd.(exchange code:00057HK)was publicly listed on the Stock Exchange of HK.

Awarded the Covernor's Award for Industry (Productivity Category)

SM-2000 model was successfully introduced as the super large hydro-mechanical machine.

The first injection molding machine manufacturer to adopt a Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS). The first Taiwanese company with 3,100-ton clamping force system (the highest clamping force system available locally).

Dr. Chiang Chen was awarded Doctor of Business Administration, honoris causa of The Open University of HK.

1994

Chen Hsong Machinery Co., Ltd. awarded ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certification.

1995

Awarded the ISO-9001 certification for production design, production & service from the Bureau of Commodity Inspection and Quarantine (BCIQ), Ministry of Economic Affairs in August.

Awarded the CE mark examination certificate for European safety standard regulation.

1997

Dr. Chiang Chen received OBE from Queen Elizabeth the Second of UK.

1998

Successfully introduced the HC series - hydraulic clamping injection molding machines ranging from 30 to 460 tons.

1999

Awarded the top prize in the Plastic Injection Design Category on the Taiwan Rubber and Plastics Fair for the debuted retractable tie bar two-platen model SM-580.
Hydro-mechanical two-platen series machines ranging from 550 to 3,200 tons were awarded the CE certification.

2000

Chen Hsong has set up its main manufacturing and R&D centersin 560,000 spm"Chen Hsong Industrial Park" in Shenzhen, PRC.

CHEN-PET, two-stage perform moulding turnkey system, was awarded the CMA Machinery and Equipment Design Award(Hong Kong Awards for Industry).

Awarded "ISO 14001" Environmental Management System Certificate.

Ultra High Speed Injection Molding Machine was introduced in the 2001 Taiwan Rubber and Plastics Fair. At the same time, this design received the highly coveted New Design Award.

SUPERMASTER Two Platen Advanced Servo Drive Injection Moulding Machine- 4500 tons has won 2013 Hong Kong Awards for Industries Machinery and Machine Tools Design Award of CMA.

The third-stage development project of the Shenzhen Industrial Park is complete. The new factories provide around 83,000m2 of operating space primarily for manufacturing ultra-large-tonnage injection moulding machines of over 4,000-ton.

Launched the SUPERMASTER Two Platen Advanced Servo Drive Injection Moulding Machine – 6,500 ton.

The SUPERMASTER Large Dual Color Injection Molding Machines- 1000 ton was successfully launched.
